Vintage inspired elegance! Eleanor is a tailored and flattering 1940’s inspired wrap style dress or peplum top.
Bursting with extra details and options, Eleanor is perfect for the holiday season and special occasions.
I took my inspiration for Eleanor from the 1940s.
The neckline….
Eleanor merges the squared and sweetheart style neckline which can be finished with a unique flat front collar.
The bodice….
The wrap style bodice is fully lined and closed with a combination of asymmetrical buttons and hidden snaps/press studs. The women’s bodice features French bust and waist darts for a flattering silhouette. Bust adjustment instructions are included to help you achieve a perfect fit.
The sleeves….
Eleanor has a straight sleeve with two sleeve length options. The half sleeve finishes just above the elbow at the full length sleeve, at the wrist. Both sleeves feature a fully lined French style cuff with fixed button detail.
The skirt….
Twirly skirts are the ultimate for special occasions. I opted for a full circle skirt to finish Eleanor. The skirt mimics the overlap of the bodice and can be finished at the hem with bias tape, facing or horsehair braid. The dress length also includes the options for inseam pockets. The Eleanor dress has two length options. The dress length is elegant finishing just above the knee. The peplum length is feminine and practical. I love the full length sleeve option with doubles as a fitted jacket.
The finishes…
Eleanor has the option of adding a self-fabric belt and belt loops. I love this for emphasizing the flattering fit and flare shape or Eleanor and it truly elevates the outfit!
