You can spice Baker up with a beautiful bodice flutter cascading up the front and over the back or simplify Baker by sewing the plain bodice, sleeveless version. The plain bodice version is the perfect time to add in trims, piping, laces, etc. into the princess seams lining the front and back bodice! Baker has so many details you can put her together in so many ways to create several different looks! Baker is left up to the creative mind and the biggest imaginations! Get ready to turn heads!! Baker is a BEAUTIFUL dress with so many options for customization. I absolutely love the asymmetric buttons that extend from the bodice down the skirt. It really gives it a unique look. I haven’t tried the ruffles yet so I’m excited to have those up next. The skirt length and overall sizing was spot on. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. VLL continues to be one of my favorite go-to pattern companies!

Wow! This turned out so pretty. I made it in white eyelet with a pale pink with white daisies voile weight for the lining. I used a 4″ wide flat eyelet trim for the shoulder ruffle.
I was going for the look of a classic “Alice” pinafore, and this pattern worked perfectly. Not only did I get the look I wanted, I got to work with a well written and constructed pattern.
I may only have two little girls to sew for at the moment, but I see far more VLL clothing in their closets.
